I'm running for Doraville City Council because I love this city, and I want to make sure that as we grow, we don't lose what makes Doraville, Doraville. That means strong basics, responsible budgets, real tax relief for homeowners, thoughtful growth, and green space worth protecting — for the neighbors and wildlife who call this city home. Most of all, it means bringing a neighborly spirit to City Hall: listening first, working across differences, and making decisions that serve the people who actually live here.
Doraville's budget grows every year, but families keep feeling squeezed. Before we fund the next new idea, let's make sure every dollar we spend is doing real work. I plan to implement a simple one question test: does this serve Doraville families first?
I've spoken up to council and remain in favor of stronger homestead exemptions, because long-time homeowners shouldn't be taxed out of the neighborhoods they helped build. Owning a home in Doraville should mean building your future, not scrambling to afford it.
Every developer incentive hits residents’ pocketbooks. So every deal should deliver something real and be enforceable. I'll push for one standard on every incentive: a clear answer to what Doraville is getting in return, enforcement clauses with real teeth, and milestone checkpoints across the timeline. Because good deals don't happen relying on blind trust. They need accountability built in.
Have questions or suggestions? I would love to hear from you!
